Typically MIRs are through the manufacturer, if you want to know the status you should get in touch with their customer service, at the very least they should be able to point you in the right direction.

How long ago did you claim the rebate, and did you make sure that your email was entered correctly? I have never had any issues with a MIR for something I bought on NewEgg, and it usually takes at least a month before I receive the card.

I try not to buy anything with MIR.

The process is complete shit. Hey, destroy your box for the UPC, travel to store to mail, wait 18 weeks for possibility at money return, be declined for any number of unreasonable claim.

1) You don't have to destroy the box. The UPC is usually in the corner where it is easy to cut out

2) You have to travel to a store to mail things? I just drop MIR into my local mail box.

The good point of a MIR (and I think Linus has a video on this) is that they make products cheaper for the people that actually go through the steps to claim the rebate. You get $5-$50 back per product for just mailing a stamp size piece of cardboard out.

I never had an issue with MIR when I file them and usually get them pretty fast. But I only bother when its a +$15 rebate. Anything less and I feel there is no point lol

Sorry for the late response I claimed it 2 days ago. I wasn't aware it took that long for it to register

Yeah, you print off the information from NewEgg and then mail it in to the address listed along with the UPC and a copy of the invoice. Once they receive it, it takes at least a couple weeks to process it, and then they have to actually put the money on a card and send it to you. You should receive an email from the company once they have received your MIR form, and another once it has been processed.

I have usually had good luck with MIRs, but it looks like MSI is screwing me on the one for my Z97S Krait. I bought it on Thanksgiving, sent in the information and UPC, it has been listed as approved since Jan 1st, and I still haven't gotten my fucking $15 card.

I've only just tried MIR for the first time with EVGA and the process was fairly smooth. We did have one issue where they said an invoice had not been included but I kept very good records and that was resolved fast. I just received both cheques and will cash them tomorrow! So for EVGA MIR I give them a B+

... People actually claim those things? I honestly just ignore them. Have heard one too many "They never show up" things to be bothered to fill out more paperwork.

I've redeamed mine every time.  I found the turnout time to Canada is about a month, but who am I to turn down free money minus 20mins of my time and the price of a stamp?

You people are so lazy. I just bought a computer and all 3 mail in rebates I filled out were processed in a timely manner, and I got 2/3 checks within a month. The other rebate was deemed invalid for being postmarked past the program dates, which is my fault. Still, I saved around $150 on my computer thanks to this site and reddit.com/r/BuildaPCsales, and a chunk of that was MIR's.
