What programs besides games require a good GPU?

Alot of editing programs can make use of features on the card or by using CUDA or AMD's equivalent.

Programs you write yourself that benefit from handling complex workloads(very few people). Video rendering, graphics design, CAD, and whatever else you may find.

Video editing, 3D design/animation, CAD, and really anything that needs a metric buttonne of compute.
