I recorded some counter strike on OBS just as a test. I ran it at 3500 bitrate and downsamoled to 720p60fps. I uploaded it to YouTube to see how it would look and it looks really bad for whatever reason. It's giving me the option to watch the video in 720p and 1080p 60 fps but it doesn't seem to change the quality at all. I compared this to other videos that ran at similar bitrates and 720p and they all looked better.

Either YouTube's compression, your OBS settings, or whatever render settings you used for some editing program messed with it.

I didn't even run it through any program, I just uploaded the raw file. And when I watch it back in Windows it still looks the same.

What's the video? I can try recording at the same settings and see if there's similar quality loss.

3500 bitrate is just low for 720p60. top twitch streamers use more.

I can't remember the settings right now (I'm not at my PC right now) but all I remember is that I had the x265 encoder enabled, 3500 bitrate, and recorded at 1080p 60fps downsamoled to 720

Okay yeah, that's pretty much the quality I'm getting. Your bitrate is too low. 720p30fps will look better, but still not "great."

Here's what I got:

Here's what I get with a higher bit rate:

GG forum for not posting. At least it saved this.
