Is it worth it to buy dual 6950's for 170 US dollars?

They get their ass KICKED by the 7000 series. They really are not terribly powerful anymore.

Go for a single used 7970, it should do better and no x-fire issues

for an athlon build, it should work just fine

price seems a bit steep for old ass used cards though...
