Hi there, this is my first build log and a I'm a bit of a noob on these forums. I've saved up for a few years to finally build my dream gaming station and I think I've satisfied my own wants with this build. This is still a build in progress as I haven't received my custom sleeved cables yet, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do if they arrive and I want to post my finished build. Right now I only really have a crude photo of the build without the nice cables and without the rest of the peripherals (Still waiting on Ducky Shine 5 and Xbox Elite controller).

I assure you, if anyone likes my build just as much as I do, I will post full high quality photos once I'm finally finished. I don't have any in progress pictures unfortunately as I've been "in progress" for months now, changing something almost every day. Most of my colour changing mods have been done by obtaining a sheet of green theatre light plastic from a friend of mine and cutting it into pieces that I shoved in front of the white LEDs in all of my parts.

I hope you like my build just as much as I do, I've spent a lot of effort into getting it absolutely perfect (no 10-foot mods as Linus called them) everything had to be perfect up close, even with a magnifying glass.

Eh, lot of small personal things I would have changed, but all in all a very solid all around build.

Can't wait to see some nice HD pics of it once you get the last of the setup.

Looks sweet! Where the custom cables at though? Maybe in the future NZXT HUE + (To compliment the Bitfenix of course)!

Thanks a lot! I wanted to get an NZXT Hue but I found the price to be a bit high. I'm not really thinking of going all out with LEDs, a nice top shining LED strip is nice. I love it because it has magnets and doesn't need any awful adhesive.

The custom cables are still being made, I got them from PexonPC and he takes about a week to make them for me. I also got some custom USB cables to go with my keyboard and phone charger.

Could you tell me what you would've changed? I'm always open for awesome new ideas.

im a big believer of 4k 60hz >144hz 1440p, but some peoplenprefer the butter of that refresh rate over visual clarity.

I'm also a bit of an amd fanboy, and dont overclock my gpus, so seeing as the 980ti and fury x at 4k perform the same at stock I'd have gone for the cheaper dual fury x's.

aside from that i'd have saved a buck and gone for windows 7 because fuck windows 10's pushing of ads, forced updates, and collecting of personal data.

lastly, would have changed the case to a be quiet base 800 window, because i love me the base 800.

I agree with every single point you made.

I'd rather have a really big 4K screen than what I have now, but I cannot go without 144 Hz anymore, it's too nice of a resolution. So I'm waiting on a 21:9 3440x1440 monitor at more than 100 Hz. Unfortunately that requires DP 1.3, which doesn't exist on any card yet. I was thinking if going with some AMD cards in the future, just because Nvidia has screwed me over one too many times.

Dual Fury Xs are even better on my resolution too, I really wish I went for them, aside from that I'm a big fan of AMD as a company. My next few cards will definitely be AMD if possible. If only for Freesync.

Yeah, I would've gone for a more quiet case, this one is a little airflow restricted and is good at a lot but master of none. But this was the case that I absolutely loved. The colour scheme, the design, the features, it's all I wanted. And I wanted a modded out PC so I wanted the side panel window.

Though I still do like Windows 10, updates never really bothered me even though it's not good of them to do that. But I just like the cutting edge, and the beautiful design.
