hey guys and ladies! I'm looking to get a large format 34 inch 3340x1440 monitor (dell u3415w) for work and also use my two 1920x1080 monitors above it via vesa mounts (hopefully get two of these large format monitors in the future). I have a few questions I need clarification on.

1) what kind of specs should I be looking for in a gpu to support this setup (and future proof for possibly 2 of these 34 inch monitors)?

1a) does the max resolution on a gpu refer to all monitors connected? 3 monitors using eyefinity for example, a single monitor, or an mst hub for 4+ monitors?

1b) should I look for max resolution of one gpu thru hdmi/dp to support 6880x2880 (two 34 inch 3440x1440 monitors (or support 7280x3600, one 3340x1440 and two 1920x1080 monitors))   OR   two gpus to support one monitor each at 3440x1440 (or one gpu for the 3340x1440 and the other gpu for two 1920x1080 monitors)? (once again in looking to future proof so I can have two 3440x1440 monitors)

1b) how much vram? I'm trying to get into stocks do I would have all monitors filled with charts constantly updating. I most likely won't be using my set up for gaming as I rarely have down time but would like the possibility to do so on one monitor.

thank you everyone!

1) Anything with video ports that match your monitor, Lets say the monitors all have display ports. Then you would need a GPU with 3 display ports.

1a) Don't know a lot about this but I think it just means the maximum output to one monitor...

1b) Might need to use google or wait for another reply cuz I got no clue about monitor setup :P

1c?) 4gbs or higher? Maybe?

I recommend GTX 970 or a R9 380. Overkill for showing charts but good with gaming. And if anyone else wants to tell me im wrong here... then please go ahead cuz I don't know a lot at all :D

Wow this was old as heck, Need to update this signature!
