That'd be a great choice :D

So, my birthday approaches once again, I always like to plan ahead.

What shall I get for a PC Upgrade? The only thing I ask if for to people not suggest is a SSD, HDD

quick system rundown.

4790k, h100i, S340, 2x1TB HDD's, (2x8)16B of RAM, Z97 extreme 3, EVGA 600B, GTX 970 SC+ACX 2.0)

Hope this is in the right section btw

I would do as @GlassBomb also recommends and put an SSD in.

A 250GB SSD should be enough for you to install a bunch of programs alongside your OS. It will make your system a lot snappier.

Not really into low capacity SSD's, If I want one, I'll go 2 500GB or 1 512 M.2 950 Pro

250GB is still plenty for you to put your Windows and many of your main programs on. You asked for something in the <100 dollar category, and you were lacking an SSD. So that's what I suggested.

And I still stand by my suggestion. Going from a normal hard drive to an SSD is life-changing.
