This may be a weird inquiry, but I really don't want to deal with lenses or a huge form factor. 

 

What's a good camera that takes raw and basically has a great auto setting with high quality imagery (doesn't have to compete with a true DSLR). 

 

Budget can be ~500.

Canon G9, Fuji X30, maybe a Sony HX90.

 

I might even consider a Canon EOS M or Nikon 1, for that budget.
