I need a quick help with a build for a friend.
i Brainstormed that he should take like an:

i5-6600 CPU

some kind of SSD

R9 390 or gtx 980 GPU (depending on money left)

DDR4 8GB

 

These are the main parts, other ones i'll sort out.
Pc will be used for gaming

I personally would go for Haswell in this build.

i5 or i7?

of course pc should be used at least 5years with good performance

i5 4460 or some K edition, Skylake is overpriced for now , Intel is not making enough for the demand.

Not really and i5-4690k cost 250eu and i5-6600 240eu

You pay for the k. does he/she wanna overclock? Of course it depends on region so if you get a good deal on skylakes, go for them. Just know the IPC increase is pretty small.

If you make a post contradicting mine that doesn't directly address my claims, or cites 'facts' without evidence, I'm probably not going to bother responding to it, because you probably didn't bother reading my post properly, and because life is too short. It doesn't mean I don't have an answer for you. It means I'm not dignifying you with a response.
