Single SSD Lifespan

Go to solution Solved by ShadowCaptain,

Most SSD's these days should last at least 3 years under moderate to heavy usage. Some even have 7/10 year warranty's.

3 years? they should last WAY longer than that, before they even started reallocating sectors on the worst SSD on test they had over 100TB of writes and the earliest death was 700TB

the 840 pro they tested lastest 2.4PB!!! l

most SSDs should last longer than most people will ever ever ever need

I'm thinking of getting a 250GB 850Evo for my "soon to be built" PC (in about half a year) and then add an HDD later when I'll need it.

how long will it survive for example installing stuff like games on it with win10? (apps and stuff too)

and what about crucials bx200? how will it fare in comparison?
