Why is the intel 710 SATA II $1000 and why is OWC selling it for $90 ?

I was looking over price drops and I saw that there was an SSD that was 800 $ off I don't know allot about storage so I was wondering two things:

 

1. Why was is to pricey to start with ?

 

2. why is it so cheep now off of OWC ?
