32Gb kit RAM vs Four 8 GB sticks

Go to solution Solved by AlphaGamer46,

If you get the RAM in a kit and your motherboard supports quad channel, the memory should be able to work better as opposed to using completely different sticks (not very efficient and can lead to memory-related channel bottlenecks).

X99 build for video editing will use 32GB DDR4 RAM, not sure whether to use 32GB(4x8GB sticts) kit RAM or 4 separate 8 GB sticks. Does that make any difference?

get a kit

they are usually cheaper

and they are tested to guarantee working  together

So 4x8 or 4x8? I would go with 4x8. Get a kit. You want 4x the exact same.

get the kit

they are tested to make sure they are as close as possible and work best together

Four same 8GB sticks or a kit, doesn't matter.

A single Mars bar won't taste different than a four pack of them.

for a kit, it does make a difference

its basically just validation, but it does help

my problem is I have to wait some more time for a Kit, I have separate RAM's available right now, even if the separate sticks are identical technically is there any reason to wait for kit?

Well it could work, and you could experience lots of troubles, RAM is a bit temperamental, like humans you have some that play well with others, and then there are others that play best alone.
