So I wanted to make sure all these parts worked together one more time before I ordered. Also, if one of them seems like it should be swapped out for another part, please mention that. Not that I have to tell people to criticize me on the internet, but still. I'm going with a 360 because it will probably be expanded and mo' radiator slo' ventilator. I wanna run my fans really quietly. Same reason I went w/ the pump/

XSPC Tubing (I didn't want to buy everything from them, but it just worked out. The guide mentioned it was good and primochill LRT advanced was expensive, though about the same length per dollar. Fans will be Corsair SP120's PWM Quiet edition. Maybe if Noctua didn't make everything ugly I would go with them. But they do so I won't. Or rather, these are quiet and really pretty and I put in extra rad room so I could have them. Don't deny me this.

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

To clarify a bit the description everywhere fo the pump is a bit unclear so while it sounds like 1/2" ID, I wasn't sure and was most worried about that.

Everything in your list looks good, I assume you want to add a GPU in later hence the 360mm rad. Only thing is you have no pump in your list there, I would recommend something liek the vario D5 or the Photon res with the pump res combo which is pretty good.

For the tubing if you can go with primochill, the FLX stuff works but is pretty basic entry level watercooling tubing where some users have experienced some plasticzer with it.

Whoops, sorry, here's the pump. Totally missed putting that in there which is odd because it's what I was most worried about.

That is a D5 pump but I do notice that it is a B version which non-variable speed, if your wanting a fairly silent loop you may want either a variable speed version or PWM controllable one which can let you turn down the speed after filling and bleeding the loop.

Good catch! So I have to refill the loop every time I want to change my pump's speed?

For the vario version there is a little dial on the back you can turn to change the pump speed you wouldn't need to refill the loop each time, most times for a D5 you can leave it on idle once the loop of filled and bled for quiet operation.

Edit: I posted this already, just had an old tab of the thread before the post posted, whoops.

You keep saying once the loop is full and bled, why would I bleed it? Shouldn't I clean all the parts, put it together, and after leak testing keep the liquid in the loop? When does the bleeding happen?

Oh, thanks, good catch! That would definately have been pretty bad to miss. Do i have to refill the loop every time I change the speed?

Well no since it's a closed loop the fluid would just move faster around the loop, it wouldn't drain or change anything.

I didn't think so, but I couldn't understand why...

For bleeding the loop it's just on initial fill up where you bleed out the air and fill it with fluid, sometimes there are pockets of air that take some encouragement or time to back it back around to the res.

Oh, okay, I misunderstood you and thought bleeding meant taking all the water out. I even stopped to wonder about how it was different from draining. Do you think I should put a drain system in?

Yea a bit of confusion there :D

As for a drain if your doing hardline it's a good idea to plan one out since it will not be as easy as taking off a hose compared to soft tube. Usually a T fitting and a valve with a cap/plug is good, you can attach a short length of tube to that when draining out the fluid.

Alright, I think I'm good to go then! Thanks for all of the help biggrin.png
