What would be a realistic asking price for a 2010 15" dell xps? There's small chip in the underside right corner and the battery is basically shot but other than that it's working perfectly. I was thinking $350 should be doable if I'm patient.

Quad core i7-840qm

8gb ddr3

2gb Gt435m

320gb HDD

1080p display

Bluray burner

Windows 7/8.1/10

To clarify I don't mean what someone should pay but rather what's the most I could realistically get, as the two are quite different.

Yeah 300-350. I would look into getting a new battery for it though, it's kind of hard to sell a laptop with a shot battery lol.

My ~$200 USD build:

AMD A8-7600    G. Skill Ripjaws Z @1800 CAS 8     EVGA 500w 80+ PSU    Gigabyte GAF2A68HM-DS2H Motherboard

350 is really high for it especially since it has a dead battery

its still a quad core. Like I said, I don't mean what someone should pay for it, but rather what would be doable with a bit of patience.

I thought about it, and might have to...but we'll see. I'd rather not put more money into it.

$350 is quite a ways away from $500. It's not like $350 is ridiculously unfair.

I can get something better for 350 USD and a good battery in Canada which has horrible prices so yes it is quite unfair

Agreed.

On another note, you could probably get a battery for it for cheap on eBay or something.
