poor ssd raid 0 performance

i have an intel z97 platform running and intel core i7 and two kingston v300 240g ssd running in raid 0. the read speed was underwhelming only getting 513mb/s. thants lower than was the drive is rated at with one ssd! i set up raid through the motherboard bios rain configuration using intel raid. its a fresh windows 10 install. is there a setting im not doing in windows that will increase performance?????

prob the kingston v300 are just meh for RAID 0

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

so if i put two samsung 850 evo in raid 0 is there a theoretical speed that i might get? anyone have the setup?

theoretically double the read and write speeds, a bit over 1GB/s both ways, you wont see that all the time though.
