This build has been in review/revise phase for about 2 weeks. Many changes have been made to it, and I figured here would be a great place to drop it off for review.

This is a gaming build that I wish to have the ability to either add a 2nd 970 in the future, or depending on how it looks a little after release, upgrade to the next line of NVIDIA.

All questions for me will be addressed, and all opinions are appreciated!

Seems solid but PSU could be better. Try grab an EVGA PSU for higher quality components. Especially if you might be overclocking with the unlocked CPU.

6600k and 970 is horrid at 2 grand even with peripherals, spend a lot less on motherboard and storage, you don't need that kind of storage.

That power supply isn't bad compared to the normal CX/M series, but I'd still pick up something XFX/EVGA/Etc.. (basically, not that)

Get the 850-evo it performs almost exactly the same and it's cheaper. Do you need 16gb of ram?

Get the GTX 980. If your budget is really 2k then you can afford it. Don't SLI your GTX 970. Just sell it and get a GTX 980ti.

EDIT: Get this PSU instead http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr

Great looking AMD builds, definitly going to look into it!

My reasoning behind the 23" monitor is I will be sitting no more than 2 feet away from the screen at most (not ideal, but i'd have to get a new desk  <_< )

I'm not trying to de-rail my own thread, but what would your opinions be regarding sitting that close to a large monitor.

Also, 60hz vs 144hz. My knowledge would tell me its clear when using FREE/G-SYNC, higher monitor refresh would equal higher MAX fps. IE: Would a 60hz monitor cap my refresh rate? Or was that a dumb question?
