Need Help

Go to solution Solved by Volbet,

wireless, no switch, tried with another pc, same results, unstable

Have you tried a different ethernet cable? have you tried a different coaxial cable? If neither of these things work you should contact your ISP to hear whether or not there is problems in your area.

Yeezus was terrible, only like 2 good songs. Oh and listen to Volbeat, he knows his shit.

I don't know anything about shit, and Volbeat is a Danish heavy metal band or a bee-like Pokemon

Hey Guys, im having some ping problems with my wireless. the pings that i get are very unreliable/unstable. when i ping google.com or any other website the ping range from 50-500+ms but with no packet lose.

being a gamer this isn't really annoying.

So my question is, is there a way to fix this / do i need a new router?

and i also use this kind of cable to connect my router to the wall, not sure what its called.

Edit:

searched it a bit further. is it a coaxial cable? sorry if its not

it's called a coax cable. If possible please try to test your connection with the same computer or a laptop that shows the same symptoms with a Cat 5 cable

Moved into a new house and been having the problems from the start.

Are you connected wired or wireless to the router? if you are using a switch try to go around it. If you have another computer you can try to ping that, to see if it is the router.

with a cable attached its more stable, 70~76

Well, that does seem kinda high for wired, but it's definitely better than the wireless. Is the wireless device you are having problems with far away from the wireless router/access point (how good is the wireless reception)?

Do you have wireless integrated into the modem or do you use an external router?
