Help with Corsair Link and water cooler

Hello, I just built my first pc and it works all good and stuff, the CPU is running at pretty low temps with my water cooler from Corsair the "Corsair h110iGT" closed water cooling loop.

But I have a problem with corsair link, I plugged the micro usb or whatever it is into the cooling block and into the motherboard but Corsair Link doesn't pick it up, So I can't change the colours of the lights and such. Help?

(Yes I plugged it in right, I read the manual)

Thanks for taking your time reading this

Try using different headers. If not, try using a Mini B to Type A usb cable and plugging it into the back USB ports. It could be plugged into a header thats disabled or something.

Edit: I've looked around and it seems some people are having similar issues. Make sure all the drivers are up to date for any USB controllers. There maybe ASMedia or Renesas controllers in there.

Same thing happened to me, if you go into device manager and then usb controllers it should show up like this.

Not sure what I did next, I think I right clicked and updated the drivers for it and it started working.
