I'm looking to upgrade the Intel Stock heat sink cooler thing that Intel has to something... Less... Stock. I recieved my $15 MIR from Corsair today (Along with my package with no SSD in it) but I want to upgrade the stock cooling, Currently in the BIOS I idle at about 29-38*C, So now since I've got $15 + say $5? I want to upgrade that stock cooler, if I get a T2 or a TX3 how big will the difference in Idle temps be?

The TX3 is better.

Why care about idle temps?

Yes there is. The stock cooler is pretty mediocre.

Idle temps don't really matter much OP, though yours are on the higher end considering since it's winter in the USA right now. What are your load temps?

TX3 is the better choice

Right, because load temps matter so much on a stock locked i5..

I don't have load temps. since I don't have my SSD to put my OS on
