Hello Everyone I'm thinking about building a new PC the Specs will be

i7 5820k

r9 390x

asus sabertooth x99

32gb ddr4 corsair vengeance 2400mhrz(already bought got it for an amazing deal)

Corsair T80 white

Intel Liquid Cooling(in my previous build)

Logitech G510s Gaming Keyboard(in my previous build)

Razer Naga Expert MMO (in my previous build)

Samsung 840 Evo Series 250GB(in my previous build)

Western Digital Green 3tb(in my previous build)

CoolerMaster GM Series G750M - 750 Watt(in my previous build)

ASUS VS247HR - 23.6"  x 3(in my previous build)

Now I was wondering should i wait for the new pc components that are suppose to be coming out in the next few months

for the new pascel or other new parts that I could change for what is not inside my build already.

Also was considering getting either the nzxt kraken 280mm or the corsair Corsair Hydro Series H110i GT 280mm Extreme Performance Liquid Cooler, but someone mentioned I should try this out Alphacool NexXxoS Cool Answer 120 DDC/XT - kit.

What do you all think I know I'm asking a lot it's just this is only my second build and want to get it to were I won't need to upgrade anything for a few years or so at the least my budget for the new parts is around 1700 euro new parts are the cooling system cpu gpu mobo and case. Thanks again to anyone able to help me out!

If you wait for what's coming, by then something else will be coming and you'll be in the same situation :)

Go grab what's available now :)  Unless what's coming is 1000x better ...but it seldom (never?) is

Seldom yes, never, no.... Hopefully the die shrink with whatever architectural changes and HBM will make a significant difference to the next gen

@PaddyMully

What are you using the system for? Where are you buying? And what do you currently have and why do you want an upgrade?

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Still 6 months + away and I can see a short life on the next gen for a quick turn-around of refinements.. I'd be hmmmming a hawing over it myself..

All depends on whats there now and what the use is IMO

@Dzzope

I will be gaming across 3 screens with recording(so editing too) and streaming mostly be gaming but I will be doing the rest too, I'm buying of two irish sites dabs.ie and komplett.ie because some parts are cheaper then each other, and my current is i5 4690 non k 8gb ddr3 (i got the 32g ddr4 corsair vengeance of amazon for 125 euro was a great deal !) gtx760 and a asus h97 plus (not able to oc) I want to be able to stream record play games on high settings(if not max) such as witcher 3 fallout 4 arma 3 etc will also be used for software development as I am still in college

I'd go with a straight i7 then rather than x99... Software dev does not need that much power and my 3770k streams twitch playing and streaming at 1440 without issue at all..

As for video editing and the like, the skylake processor is so close it's not funny (instruction set and architectural optimizations are great)

The only reason I can see to go x99 is if your going to be doing something like creating a complex virtual environment with 6+ VM's that will have some sort of load for testing or demoing. or you need the extra PCI-e lanes, which skylake already has anyway..

If not... then go back to the consumer i7's..

As for dabs and Komplett... They suck asss but with the high price of sterling they CAN be cheaper than looking at the UK.. Overclockers.co.uk, scan, ebuyer, and of course ebay and amazon can be good too if the exchange rate is ok (it's gotten quite a bit better in the last few weeks)

P.S, Donegal man here.. :D

I want to go with the i7 5820k because it is more future proof for games because games will end up using more cores sooner or later so being safe you get me ? Also I agree dabs and Komplett sucks ass but their the cheapest!, OverClockers Shipping goes way to high, Scan is also more expensive because of the exchange rate ebuyer doesn't ship to the republic of ireland anymore :(, ebay and amazon are kinda good bets just depends on shipping and exchange rates :P

PS Louth man here :D :D

Nah, if anything your going the wrong way.... There is no way that 6 cores will be needed in the next 3 to 5 years and Skylake supports NVME drives and should have USB 3.1 type c (I'm sure the x99 boards have been updated too)..

My point is that you probably won't see any tangible benefits for your use-case (other than renders in videos or compiling taking SLIGHTLY less time) and it's a MUCH older platform

Gaming across 3x 1080?  Personally I'd go for an ultra-wide 16:9 screen if you don't have the 3 already and you will need a beefier GPU to match on that res and workload. ohh and a 390x is not worth the premium over a 390. Hell I'd drop to skylake and go Fury for that reason alone

OCUK shipping is usually £12 - 18 for me and they have really good customer service... Just check the rates when your buying.. you might even be better off looking at mainland EU... try Tweakers.net for a dutch comparison site.

What are you doing with the spare bits? (Ram, mobo, cpu, GPU and case?)

If i was to drop to a skylake, waht cpu mobo and gpu would you suggest then considering I already have the 32gb ddr4 ram? and OCUK yeah it is usually that price until the case is added one then it goes to up to like 70 pound shipping case is 50 pound shipping alone. That's why with dabs its 200 euro for the case and delivery together. I'll have a look at tweakers now thanks!

Was thinking to either make a NAS or a filing streaming system or a light Lan system not to sure ? could always sell them too.

What do you think of cooling now ?

Liquid if you want but I'd go for good air myself.. AIO's look good and have decent performance BUT it is more points of failure..

Basically I'd go for 6700K, Asus or MSI (or brand of your choice) motherboard with any extras that you want / need (I do like the Asus Hero / ranger and also MSI black / white myself). Case of choice (780T is purdy but expensive) cooler, something like a noctua NH D15

I would also go for a different PSU, the CM G750M is not a very good unit.. Performance is ok but it uses cheap caps, I'd leave it in the old build and grab an EVGA B2 or G2 or GS xfx is also a good option for quality on the cheap. Also worth looking at are Super flower and pretty much anything seasonic based (look for reviews of each unit)

Then, Why not go Nvidia GPU for shadowplay, Should provide near no performance cost while recording. Then again Win 10 has some kind of recording / streaming built in too tho I've not read up on or used it yet.

P.s, On the case and shipping costs, Maybe try find something more local for the case and then look at other bits from farther afield. If you know anyone in / visiting the US, it can be worth waiting for them to pick up some stuff... particularly the more expensive bits (CPU / GPU in particular)
