Mouse/Keyboard disconnects...

Greetings friends!

I've been having an issue with my peripherals (mouse and keyboard) for a while now about a month.

at random times normally during gaming they seem to disconnect and i cant control anything, the LED's on my mouse and keyboard turn off and tent to flash on and off as if they are being unplugged and reconnected over and over. I sometimes get the "a device has been removed" noise and message but rarely. The only way for me to get any control back is to restart the machine.
obviously this is insanely aids, 

The keyboard is a Roccat ISKU, and the mouse is a steelseries sensei, im running windows 10 but ive not had any issues with that as of yet. my PC is 5 years old now thought maybe that has something to do with it?

My pc Specs are here if they help im not sure.

So there's my problem, any help would be lovely, and if you would like to know any other information please just let me know here.

Ahh, I had this issue with my old laptop. Most of the time I would just wait for it to stop but unplugging and plugging back in a couple times seemed to work, If that fails then unplug everything and reboot.

yea unplugging and reconnecting does nothing for me. the only way i can get it to work again is a full restart of the computer. im thinking maybe its a driver issue? or the boards USB controller? but i dont know enough about the subject to try and fix it.

Yeah I remember it's a driver issue. Try forcing the drivers to update on your peripherals.

Sounds like a driver or a bios problem. see about updating both, maybe after wiping old drivers first.

Update your bios and drivers. I had the same problems, updated my bios (my keyboard and mouse has no drivers) and all my USB devices worked without randomly disconnecting.

never done a bios update mite be the issue. honestly it just never crossed my mind as i've never needed it.

i will give this ago and see how things go. Will be back if it still doesn't work

im back for some more advice. 

since making this ive formatted my drives and reinstalled windows. updated drivers and im still getting the problem.

now im wanting to try a bios update. but ive hit a problem. i have a asus p8z68-v motherboard. and ive checked they don't have a update for windows 10. there various updates there no option for windows 10. and even then i wouldn't know what update i would need.

can anyone help me with this, what i need to download for a start and if the version of windows i have even matters for a bios update? im not really sure. and i understand there is some risk involved with updating the bios. i would rather be sure then just trying it.
