Do a system restore to one or two days ago

do you actually make system restores daily ?

do you actually make system restores daily ?

Usually if you change something in the pc it automatically makes a system restore point

I have an old dell optiplex 760 with windows vista and a 80gb HDD it was at about 50% storage usage and it is suddenly at 95% only one day later

what has happened what can i do please help it is my family daily driver pc

keep sorting the C drive by size, for example, click on the c drive so it comes up with all the files, then sort by size, go onto that folder and sort by size again, eventually u will source the big files

Search for "*" on the C drive then sort by date created.  That should show a bunch of new files at the top for you to investigate what they are

Download CCleaner to save some space. I don't see what the issue is if it s just a web browsing pc.
