option 2

its always best to have the amp be able to output more than the subwoofers RMS

also 1200W is a lot more than 500W

you can just not put it so loud and you will be fine

1200W wont crack any windows

In reality it's barely audible. It's cool for bragging rights though...

OP, what kind of install are you going after? Cheap, sound quality, loud, small etc..... What are your requirements

I was looking at this than four 5 way Kenwood speakers, and a jvc deck....

I want it to be good but if I want to I want the bass to shake if you know what i mean

Just use two ways. Fiveways are crap.

If you don't mind me asking why?

1) a two way can cover the whole needed spectrum

2) with a five way you have less budget per 'way' (/driver)

3) each driver needs it's own crossover, 3/5 even need a bandpass filter. This requires a) good design b) more money

4) the four drivers take up space and cover the the rest

So do you think this would sound just as good. What do you recommend?
