AF or SP for front intakes

Go to solution Solved by Random_person77,

SP fans or Static Pressure fans are more optimized for being placed on radiators for water cooling to have more static pressure.

AF fans or Air Flow fans are more optimized for bringing as much air as possible through the fans as possible.

Basically if your gonna have a radiator at the front,go for SP fans but if your not gonna have a radiator then go for AF fans.

I was wondering if I should get SP fans or AF fans for the Mastercase 5's front intake(I'm going to have dust filters). Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It's a grey area. I've been researching this myself but people say different things. Some say SP fans because the dust filters cause more resistance but others say AF because the difference is VERY minimal.

Personally I'd just go for airflow. Front fans need to shift loads of air into the case and that's what AF fans are best at.

Hopefully more people will answer :)
