Coil Whine

Just got a new power supply (seasonic ss-520fl-2) and noticed a hissing which I'm assuming to be coil whine. Any fix to this? I do not want to return the power supply, so please suggest other options if possible.

There's no fix that I know of for coil whine.

Whatever you do, don't try to open the PSU. it most likely will invalidate your warranty. Best bet is an RMA

Step 1. Dip it in wet concrete

Step 2. Wait for it too dry (1-2 days)

Step 3. You now have fixed coil whine!

Just don't try to tamper with the capacitors, you might get shocked and get electric burns etc.

i had similar issue but with my graphics card but i just sent it away and getting a new one from evga next Wednesday if your someone like me who hates unwanted sounds coming from your computer  i would just send it back
