Chromebook not charging

poker1059

Lenovo N21 chromebook was working fine during Language, but then in history it was just. Dead. So I've been charging it for about an hour now and it just sits at 1% The library said to try charging it for hours over the weekend and if it doesn't help then Monday morning they will have to have it repaired. I just want to see if there's anything I can do before Monday to try to fix it myself to try to avoid having to wait the painful days I'll have to wait for them to fix it.

EDIT - The only time the Chromebook will stay on is when I have it plugged in, the second I unplug it it shuts off. (Similar to if it didn't have a battery installed)

Does the power cord have a section that's removable? Check to see if it's all the way in.

Try charging it when it's powered off completely.

Let us know how it goes. Last time I played with a Chromebook, it was a CR48 and half the hardware on that thing didn't work anyway lol
