Power but no boot

Go to solution Solved by Flashie,

did you sticked rams back into theyr original position? if yeas than pres the CLEAR CMOS button its suposted to be somewhere on mobo

Alright, i thank you for posting your reply. It didnt solve my problem though, but your answer lead me to finding out how to solve it though.

I booted the PC again after posting here, having the same issue. Soonafter, i reseated the ram exactly how it had been when i was having the problem, which was the same way it was seated since i got the PC from day 1.

I booted, and had the same issue. I then resorted to reseating the CMOS battery and booted up again - i then started my PC up, without putting my 970 back in, and had it boot to my second monitor. I then tried with the graphics card in again, and it did a similar issue to the beginning - but stayed on with no output to the screen.

I did another reset after that without doing anything hardware-wise, and it posted and booted perfectly fine.

So i just completed completely redoing my computer, as in tearing it all down to the very frame.

I then started rebuilding it from the ground up. Re-managed my cables and had everything sorted in no time. I cleaned most of the dust off my PC and replaced the thermal paste on my CPU.

So then there it was - the first boot after i had it all re-put-together.

I Pressed the power button and my computers LED fans and power LED kicked on along with the CPU fan, for a second or two, and then turns itself off. It then waits a second or two and starts up again - and repeats this process till i hold the power button in and put it outs of its misery by shutting it down ^.

What is the problem here?

Start by unplugging everything which isn't necessary, HDD, ODD, PCI (even GFX if you have on-board). Reseat the memory. Test; start plugging stuff back in, bit by bit.

Thanks for the reply - I eventually did result in doing so, in the reply above :) thanks anyways
