That sux, sorry if i'm not quoting back, mobile site doesn't have that option.

The desktop site is more than usable on mobile, in my opinion.

But if you get a nice fast SSD there isn't too much reason to use RAID other than for redundancy, or if you're extreme.

Sig under construction.

I'm really just playing around with workstation builds.

I tend too run a local server in the background and linux & OSX over VM, not counting video rendering, cad & a little programming.

So need to dump large amounts of data fast locally and have a scratch disk before dumping too NAS.

Yeah, the other thing about Hardware RAID is that most cards don't support trim (Performance of the array will drop over time). Some do have some proprietary software that enables SSD caching, but it's still pretty limited even then. I'm hoping LSI picks up their game with the next generation of RAID cards.

You're stuck just getting the NVMe drives and using something like Storage Spaces or some other software method to "RAID" them into one disk.

NVMe RAID cards would be really neat to see though.

Yea, its going to dictate slot in this build, been looking at netstore pcie expansions supermicro mckee storage solutions etc.

Looking at ways to intergrate it into a custom desk. looking around for boards that have dual xeon support with atleast 2 m.2 slots but may have to wait on next gen releases.
