Graphics Cards Questions

I have 2 questions. 1. I am wondering what cpu i should pair with an evga gtx 970. (LGA 1150 CPU Please) 2. Does the 750ti compare to a 960 or is the 960 more powerful.

I have three answers:

 

1. You should pair an i5 ideally with an R9 390.

2. You should get an R9 390 instead of a GTX 970.

3. The 750 Ti is much slower than the GTX 960, and the GTX 960 is already pretty much garbage. But the 750 Ti was pretty chill when it was still popular.

a 960 is not only more powerful, but less powerful than a 380.

 

Get a 380.

an i5 4690k for the 970 and im sure the 750ti is very close but probably behind the 960

AMD fanboys is what I'm seeing here. What if he prefers Nvidia, huh? You people suggesting AMD cards are not helpful at all and are no benefit.

 

To answer OP's questions: The i5 is a good pair to a 970, and the 750 Ti is weaker than the 960.

Because Nvidia drivers place less overhead on the CPU, and the i5 is at the end of it's usefulness as a gaming CPU with more and more games liking hyperthreading.

It doesn't matter. Subjectivity takes play when one person prefers either AMD or Nvidia.

This makes you look like a fanboy and biased towards AMD. If you have suggested either a 970 or 390 like so

• AMD: R9 390
• Nvidia: GTX 970
