Problems Streaming

Hey Guys,

 

Ive streamed before using OBS but that was a few years ago, now Im encountering some problems.

 

I can run CS:GO fine at 200+FPS

 

My processor is an i7 920 @2.67GHz

and an 1GB NVIDIA Geforce GTX 650 Ti SSC for my gpu

 

my internet test is here

currently running obs at

2500 max bitrate

x264 encoder

base resolution 1600 x 900

downscale 1.5

filter: bilinear

FPS: 35

Tried switching between Twitch New York server and Chicago as I am based in London,Ontario

 

also footage saved from obs shows lag but there is some lag and tons of buffering on twitch when i monitor my stream from my ipad.

I think you need to upgrade your CPU. Streaming takes alot of CPU power.

Try using Nvidia NVENC. It's a GPU-accelerated encoder for Kepler-based GPUs and later. My brother has used this encoder before and works.

What is your internet speed (up and down)

almost seems like your connection isn't strong enough toi stream at the bitrate if your getting buffering on other devices, may also be your cpu not strong enough to encode and play at the same time

 

Edit> sorry didn't see your results above... you definately have enough internet power, its definately cpu
