ok so i just started folding like a couple of minutes ago... and my question is... if i press the 'STOP FOLDING' button, will it simply pause the current work order and then start the same work order back up again when i press the 'START FOLDING' button? or how does this work exactly...

note: i just want to 'stop folding' when im using my PC for gaming or what ever... and then when im at work or sleeping or not using my PC to have it be running...

If thou closes the window, then thy workload will stop. Pressing stop folding shall simply halt thou progress, not destroy it.

one more question if i drag the power slider from light - medium - full... will this affect the electrical consumption / heat out put of my PC?

again how exactly does this work... does it just increase / decrease the CPU / GPU usage...

For the GPU there are only 2 possibilities: either full usage (and thus full "folding"power consumption) or not being used at all (so 0 power consumption, aside for the idle / gaming value). There's no in-between, it's all in or nothing. In fact, medium and light completely pause the GPU work if the computer isn't idling.

For the CPU, it's a bit more complicated. Given a single core, once again it's either "all-in or nothing", so full power consumption or none. However, not all cores need to be active at once; if I recall correctly, medium only uses half of the cores (?) and light uses 0 unless idle (?). I might be completely wrong though, as I just use Full all the time.
