I recently removed my blocks from my Titan X's they are the EK full cover blocks and I was wondering what size thermal pads I need to get and where to get them from? From my understanding they need to be changed once the block has been removed.

Thanks

can i just ask something whilst in a vaguely relevant thread, do thermal pads transfer or block heat? always wondered this...

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

They transfer heat from the VRAM and VRMs to the cooler. They need to be thick enough to transfer the heat that they put out, but not so thick that they insulate it and make it overheat. It's the same as applying thermal compound to a CPU. Not too much, not too little.

I say jiggly-bytes when I see "GB".

It goes down better than you would expect.

Just be sure that you know what thickness you need, though. Remember, if it's too thick then it will insulate it instead of transfer the heat away from the component.
