What should i upgrade next

I have a:

- AMD A8-6600k CPU

- 2x4gbs of ddr3 ram

- geforce gt 730

- 1tb hard drive

- gigabyte ga-f2a58m-hd2

 

What should i be looking at upgrading next?

trying to play fps games and not happy with the framerate.

Both your CPU and GPU are pretty weak. Right now, I'd suggest upgrading your GPU to get the most out of the upgrade.

a GPU and an SSD would be a good start for an upgrade

Depending on how much you're looking to spend on upgrading your GPU, what resolution and refresh rate your monitor uses, and what games your going to be playing i'd say:

GTX 750 Ti for 720P @ 60 fps or 1080P with medium settings 30+ fps (300-350 watt power supply)

GTX 950 or R7 370 for 1080P @ 60 fps medium settings (400-450 watt power supply)

GTX 960 or R9 380 for 1080P @ 60fps high settings (450-500 watt power supply, Might be overkill for your CPU)

I wouldn't go higher then those cards with that CPU.
