Hey guys!

I've been trying to find a FREE editing software for Windows 10 that is similar and as simplistic to iMovie (Mac Exclusive)

I'm looking to starting my own channels ranging from entertainment purposes along with reviews too and need an editing software for this! Currently I'm running on virtually NO budget so I can't even afford the student subscription version of Adobe's amazing Creative Cloud

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Blender is a nice option, is free however has a very steep learning curve.

Light works is an option but I don't have any experience with using it.

These are the only ones that I know of unless you decide to torrent and to al sorts of illegal crap which is again illegal and against the LTT code of conduct.

Edit: welcome to the forums and be sure to read the (new) COC: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/965477-community-standards/

Thanks dude :)

If you've got a lot of RAM the original Movie Maker (yes, for XP/Vista) with programs like Audacity is OK for getting started as long as Movie Maker doesn't crash ALL THE TIME. Lol, memories of Movie Maker on 312 MBs of RAM.

I have 4GB so I think I'll be alright  :P

LIGHTWORKS. It's not the most user friendly program, but it does an AMAZING job. I have been using it for a while now and Never looked back at Adobe Premiere Pro since. It comes with many, many tools for editing, and my favourite part is that it automatically saves your projects (I've lost one too many projects before) It's even used in hollywood. Most recently for "The Wolf of Wallstreet". The only CON is that the free version can only export up to 720 p.
