Ahha - depends what version of Folding you are running - are you running the newest, 7.3 version?

I believe on the new version, if it detects you are on Battery (so a laptop) it will let the system go to sleep, otherwise it keeps running and your system doesn't go to sleep. And no, if your computer goes to sleep, Folding stops, as no access to CPU or GPU. System has to be up and running to Fold.
