Hi Guys, I want to change my computer case and I was wondering if this would cause any sort of issues with my computer, I'm using a asus sabertooth z87 motherboard with an intel i7 4790K processor. Will everything work okay if I simply unplug it all from the power supply and swap it over to the new case? Also, do I have to put the SATA ports for my ssd and hdd back into the same ports that they were in on my motherboard? And do I have to put my optical drive in my new case? Sorry for all the questions but I just redid my office and my case no longer looks good in the room but at the same time I am nervous to just unplug everything and hope for the best. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Yes it should work fine... even if you mess up SATA port just go to Bios and boot off you selected drives and should be all fine.

Everything will be just fine. Just be careful when handling the individual components.

Not sure if this got answered, but you don't need the disk drive if you move cases. And it shouldn't be too difficult to remember which drives went into which ports. But if you do, just change the boot order in the bios and you'll be good to go.
