I would never feel safe putting passwords on a computer. I hand-write them on a piece of paper and them put them in a secure spot.

I don't even write them, I just fucking spend 10 minutes remembering this sha256 hash looking password

My i5 6500 is bad and can't even maintain 4.5ghz, and 4.4ghz causes it to slowly become unstable over weeks with a vcore of 1.395. FML

So no one's going to comment on the fact you could just look at that plain text .bat file and see the password it is expecting... or better yet, just bypass that entirely and run the commands it has written in it?

I think this method has some other more pressing security vulnerabilities than what could be gotten through "mind hacking"

On a sticky note right on the monitor so ya never lose it! And with the URLs so you won't forget! :F

That's a neat little trick, but please do not use this for more than a fun little demonstration. This does not actually "encrypt" anything so it's about as secure as a "hidden" folder. That, and setting the password in plain text in the .bat file doesn't help either.

 

Now, I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but security in today's world is heavily underrated and done wrongly, so even though this is fun, it's also misleading.
