You have answered your own question. No drivers. You will have to try to find linux drivers for your card. I had a similar issue once. I just had to connect my laptop via Ethernet to download the drivers. You might just have to do that. Or download them on to a flash drive. 

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

There are no drivers available. But for some reason it works now.

My Ubuntu installation won't detect my wifi connection but the live USB can. I've tried reinstalling and there are no Linux drivers...

Sometimes Ubuntu won't show a connection you have previously connected to even if it is available, at that point go to the network drop down menu and select "connect to hidden network" your network should be an option. 

You could also connect manually with your SSID and password.
