So I've been buying stuff on eBay. I got this:

AOpen i45GMt-HR, Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2GHz, 1GB DDR2, Mini-ITX Motherboard No BP

As you can see, this is a mobile CPU, using Intel Socket P.

Are there any 3rd party coolers available for the socket? I suspect not as it's designed for mobile.

That looks cool. I just binned the board and CPU from an i5 elitebook on which I know the CPU worked fine - did not think of looking for something like this.

Unfortunately I cannot help you - I'd look for a larger heatsink, zip tie it and use a larger case fan for it.

Ah yes, the core duo 2 t6600, great processor I had in my first laptop...was still using it until spring 2015 but the Nvidia g105m decided to quit and burnt out.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

That's sad, this board has Intel on-board video and a PCIe slot so that shouldn't be a problem

Looks good! Will conciser if passive isn't enough

Rip...even though I got it in summer 2008, both the g105m and the t6600 was only supposed to be released at the start of 2009...
