BIOS Setting Help.

Go to solution Solved by Immrspy,

Figured it out. The Power Supply on the HP Pentium P-6 is only 300 Watts, and it is sadly not enough. Changed the power supply, and it works fine now. Thanks for all the help!

I am trying to get a new graphics card to work, and I have narrowed the issue down to the bios.

The BIOS version is: AMI 8.04. I need to find the setting for graphics, and make the PCI-E as the primary option.

Computer: HP Pavilion p6

Graphics Card:EVGA GT 210

what gpu are you putting in...the 210?

If you need remote help fixing something on your computer

I can help over Teamviewer if you wish

just msg me on my profile

So you're trying to get a after market GPU to work on a OEM computer?

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

On a computer like that, you aren't going to find many BIOS options in the first place, and even fewer people with any info about it. I'd honestly be very surprised if there's even a single person in this forum who has that computer besides you.

That is correct. The 210 is being added.

oem bios's are notorious for not being compatible with aftermarket retail parts

and this is probably what is happening to you

you can try updating the bios if there is one

Yes. yes I am.

Is the aftermarket GPU not working at all?  It should totally be working assuming drivers have been installed :D
