Ethernet Help

I'm having some trouble with unstable connection to internet using a wifi adapter for my new budget pc. I can't use ethernet directly to my router since the router is too far away. My question: can i connect an ethernet cable from my budget pc to my laptop (which has much more stable connection) in order to have better internet?

But in reality running Cat5e is really cheap.

If you bridge your laptop's wifi and ethernet connection, you can connect your laptop and desktop together with ethernet.
