Uhm.. Are you running off your iGPU by any chance? You can check straight from the Space Engineers menu thing

The Intergrated Graphics in your CPU, have you played any other games?

i dont get it

how do my integrated graphics have anything to do with the game?

Space Engineers might accidentally be using the much less powerful integrated graphics instead of the 390X.

nah its not

I made the mistake with it, look in the menu or see if your monitor is plugged into the GPU not the motherboard. Space Engineers runs 60FPS max settings on my rig

That game runs like shit in general. Welcome to voxel based early access games.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

I have 2x 290's and space engineers still chugs like mad. I assume it's mostly CPU based since there is a LOT of physics involved, lots of asteroids etc.

Is it still in beta? If it is you can expect it to keep crashing on tab-out. If I were you I would try overclocking or reducing view distance.

Try 60 Max settings... Just like how my system should be 30FPS low settings on GTA V though high with a 36 minimum 45 average 70 max

You sure you're running in 1080p, and not 1024x768?

I'm 100% sure I know exactly what my system is and what it can do.

They must've made some performance improvements since i last played it then.
