Windows 10 issue after upgrading from Win 7

Wolther

At random, the start menu would randomly just stop working. It works after I restart the computer, but after some use it just randomly won't open. A few other things won't open at the sametime this happens, like the calendar, Cortana, etc.

I've looked up fixes like the powershell command

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

but it still just doesn't work, has anyone had this issue and found a fix to it?

The best way to repair problems like this is to fresh install windows 10. Its annoying but I had a crash problem and fresh installing fixed it.

Fresh install didnt help for me, problem came back after a few days...

I found something that fixed it for me. Some Anti-Virus programs are not compatible for Win 10. I'm using Avast and checked their website and it showed they have a Win 10 version. So I uninstalled and installed the Win 10 version and it's working like a charm :)
