From what I've researched, the only difference between the two is clock speed.

Yeah, I know. It might help you in normal desktop and browsing uses.

Are you going to be overclocking/ do you have the ability to overclock? Either way I would say the X3210 for that price difference. Xeon X3220s are going for $18 on Amazon used (USD) so look there. I have the X3220 and it is a great CPU (Q6600 equivalent)
