I may have asked this in the past but i am curious, are pico-PSU's reliable? i would be getting the 160w version with this build (minus the different power supply of course): http://pcpartpicker.com/p/FjQXK8

looking this over i just realized that my build is 266w... so that answers that question

is there any type of compact psu that can handle that? ive checked the seasonic ones and they are too big for my case

The Pico units aren't bad but your going to want some more wattage behind that especially if your overclocking an SFX unit may be something you want to look into.

The case uses standard ATX psus

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

what about 2 picos? 1 to do graphics card and ssds, one for 24 pin and 8 pin motherboard power?

It's not a good idea to do that the two units can cause noise and poor quality power among other stuff. If your dead set on getting a Pico type unit then I recommend something like this which is a proper large wattage PSU, HD plex also have some which are up to 250W but is a bit underpower for your parts:

From what I can tell it looks like a decent unit but since he didn't have the proper equipment to test ripple, noise among other things in a PSU it's hard to say for sure but the best option in terms of super small PSU's from what I've seen so far.

It has two power dedicated inputs to split the load so your going to be wanting to get some really beefy power adapters for it, that both total up to 500W. Ideally high power laptop adapters are your best bet.

do you know of any?

Delta makes some good ones in terms of adapters but as long as you can find ones for say gaming laptop they should work, it mainly depends on the connection type that PSU module uses for the input:

and would there be a worry of getting some that provide over 500w? or will it regulate automatically?
