POST problems part 2 : call the geniuses

Hey it's me again,

After returning my previous motherboard following POST problems I thought my troubles were over.

PREVIOUS TOPIC: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/490742-no-post-no-beep-no-christmas-help/

But even with the new motherboard I still encountered the same problem, I figured one of the other components was faulty. I tried breadtesting with another PSU, no success, tried all the other RAM slots, no success. I don't have another stick of DDR4 to test with nor another Skylake CPU.

So far this build has been tears and blood for me, so I decided to buy a troubleshooting kit with a motherboard Speaker to know precisely what was going on. Here's what I got :

So I went here to know what the code meant and it says :

GKb9Y6D.png

That doesn't make any sense to me since it only beeps when I remove the RAM, and still does the code when I plug integrated graphics only.

INFO :

I really need you guy's help, thank you very much !

@Drogoth First follow your own topic. Second you are ofc aware that you can brick your board by booting it, or laying it on top of that anti static bag, are you not?

I though tthis too ..

but, the new anti-static bags aren't electrically conductive like the older ones with graphite inserts

Is the RAM on the QVL for the MOBO? That would have been the first thing to check, followed by a different kit/DIMM

I did try the different RAM slots, unfortunatly I don't have another DDR4 kit at my disposal for further testing. Still the beep code doesn't seem to point out a memory problem that's what bothers me most. And yes the ram is on the QVL.

Go about halfway down. 2 people sighting that error as failed RAM, which is what I would guess is the problem given your amount of troubleshooting thus far.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too but the beep code makes eveything so weird, why would it give me a "video error" code when I remove the Ram, and give me no beep and no post when there's Ram seated  :(

Yes i tried it, even tried another monitor :)

Most codes are associated with hardware that is actually plugged in, by removing the RAM my best guess is that you're confusing whatever pre/post check it's running and it just shits the bed.
