im new to pc gaming and just "finished" my first build i was playing skyrim at 1080p all setting maxed out and was having some major stuttering in dragonsreach i have a msi gtx 980 gaming 4g for my gpu and my monitor can only do 60 hz could it be that my hardware is to strong for the game and if so is there a way to cap the gpu at the 60 hz mark?

If its showing above 60 fps, lock it, skyrim should be automaticly locked at 60
