So i decided that i want to try and revive my old computer by basically buying great parts for it (for its time) and overall just improving things as much as possible.  Im hoping to give this to my mother who is still rocking her athlon 64 single core at 1.8Ghz ish.

I have:

a Q8200

6Gb of nanya DDR2 800Mhz (3 x 2Gb sticks)

Nvidia GTX 650

POS 500W best buy power supply (Dynex)

stock 775 cooler

PCIE networking card

DVD reader

500Gb hard drive that is ready to kick the bucket

Im working on getting:

P45 chipset motherboard for a little overclocking

Better CPU air cooler

an 8Gb kit of 800Mhz ram maybe more since it's so cheap

an ATX mid tower case

500Gb or more HDD

Any suggestions for this?  I have heard that P45 is good for overclocking on socket 775 but i have no experience with overclocking a CPU yet since all of my chipsets don't let me overclock.

for OC use this guide http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/232325-lga775-core2duo-core2quad-overclocking-guide/

and maybe get a 1tb hdd since not much of a price difference.
