Firefox youtube buffering ?

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

attachicon.gifspeed.PNG

Seems enough to stream 1080p , especially considering it could before and edge can do it...

Try IE, reset chrome (not reinstall), reset firefox, update them all and try again

So my internet is 25 down 5 up , which is usually enough to stream 4k on a good day.

For some reason , youtube video playback is horrible. Anything above 360p is not possible.

I switched to chrome ( which honestly i don't like as much as firefox ), this solved the problem for a few days . Now chrome can't stream content in hd either. The only other browser that can stream 1080p video is edge ( *shudder* ).

How can i fix this ? The download speed remained the same ( i can still download stuff as fast , only seems to affect video playback).

I checked about:support , and HW acceleration was enabled .

EDIT: already tried reinstalling.

Or with water and a damp microfiber cloth. Why am I here again?

Did you check to see how much bandwidth is actually being used to see if it's youtube not sending enough data or your computer not being able to handle it?

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.
