Is Chrome OS Build on Linux?

i just wanted to know. is Chromebook Os a re skin of Linux? And is thair a way to just use Linux instead of Chrome? Thanks

Yes its based of gentoo and no I don't think you can

If you like other versions of linux more (ubuntu is shown in this tutorial) you can always re-install it anyway

its basicly a very easy to use, very basic linux distribution based on gentoo.

Its a version of gentoo with whatever window manager google put on it. Super light weight but google has locked it down so you can't really do much of anything.

You can install any version of GNU/Linux on it but with certain models it can get a bit complex. Look up a guide if need be.
